Hotel entrance is via lots of steps, tricky to do with luggage. Corridors are in very, very poor condition and my heart sank a little when I saw it. Lots of the rooms have very loud, garish carpets and the decor is very late 80s/90s in style.
The room I had was actually much better than I’d expected, given what I saw en route. The room must have had a bit of a refurb as it was quite neutral in colour. The room was a generous size and the bed was ok (two doubles pushed together).
There is a side entrance that can be used at night to let pets out, which was great.
The hotel is very noisy. You can hear people walking around, closing doors, flushing the toilet etc.
Breakfast was fine, but was much better on day one than day two. Small selection of fruit/yoghurt, toast, etc. Cooked breakfasts are made to order and can take a while after ordering. Crockery was all a bit greasy on the second day, there was no juice and the tablecloth was stained.
Bathroom was fine but unfortunately they had not cleaned the toilet. They did rectify this and apologised.
We stayed here because we needed a pet friendly hotel and overall it was fine. It’s a 2/3 star hotel really though. less
