A friend told me of the promotion they were running at the restaurant attached to the hotel, Country Kitchen. Their Facebook noted that customers could make a reservation, but it was not needed. I knew Wichita had not had a crab leg buffet in a long long time so I knew they would be packed and made a reservation. So glad I did. We came and went straight to the hostess who acknowledged my reservation but the server who was to seat us disappeared so we were kind of just standing there...just 5 Asians standing around...lol. I asked her again and a gentlemen brought us to our reserved table, which was on the hotel side. At the time the buffet line was not as long as it was after 15 minutes of eating. When we got in line, we were there less than 5 minutes. There were sides, a salad bar, dessert area, entrees. The crab legs were warm but placed on ice. Very appreciative of the cuts on the crab legs for easy cracking. The servers and Ken were very attentive. Most of the customers at the time had reservations so it was pretty calm.. except when a lady cut in line and another customer said something to her. Crab legs were filled fairly quickly. As were the other food items on the buffet. We didn't get in line a second time as the line was possibly 30 people deep if we were to get in line again. I would suggest they have 2 buffet areas since this offer is now widely known now. Excellent customer service! Hopefully they'll be a little bit more prepared next month, but for those who reserved, and arrived early, everything went smoothly. For those who came later, had to stand in the buffet line longer than those who came early. We completely agree that we need more than one line and will make sure the proper changes are made for our next Crab Legs event on May 17th.
