My wife and I were coming home from the Black Hills and wanted to see some sights in NW Nebraska along the way so we chose this hotel. Appearance of lobby was OK, front glass door smudged up pretty badly, could use cleaning. Desk clerk was OK, but only saw him once at check in. All other times sign on desk instructing to call 0 on the phone. No coffee available in lobby in late afternoon. We were assigned room on the second floor. Not realizing the place had no elevator, we struggled with the stairs and bags, we're both 71 years old. The room you could see had previously had a refrigerator, microwave and in room coffee. I called 0 to inqurre about this and was told that this room currently had none of these amenities. No apology or explanation or attempt to make it right in any way. These amenities were promised with this room when I booked it on line some time ago. There was no ice bucket in the room. I used my playmate cooler to get ice on the first floor and all the way down the hall. Breakfast was adequate considering the current pandemic. less

Dear rodkehl,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us at the West Hills Inn. We apologize for your unhappy stay with us. We must have missed the front door that day. My desk staff are not just front desk staff these days. During shifts they are either cleaning rooms, washing/folding linens, and helping out with other departments. This is why we provide a desk sign to help our guests to contact them when needed. We do want to apologize for the no fridge, microwave, and for being put on the second floor. I do hope you will come back in the future.
