Staff Lovely, Building Fabric - poor and tatty. Overall you wouldn't pay more than £50ish per night though

I had a one night stay here due to a family party in the neighbouring village. I think the stand out for me was the staff, particularly the day manager (Kasia), they were polite, efficient and displayed an ability to remember details such as your room number. I really couldn't fault the staff at all.
The building itself and in particular the rooms felt quite tatty. My mattress sank quite considerably, so if you sat on the edge of the best you rolled backwards into the middle of the bed. The TV didn't work, their was a limited number of plugs, and overall the room was dingy and small.
Breakfast buffet was a very standard affair, perfectly edible, but not exactly an inspiringly wonderful selection. One major plus was that the unlike most hotels, the toaster actually toasted the bread and didn't incinerate it! I don't think it is worth the £8.50 continental or £10 cooked & continental additional charge, however there is no where in walking distance you can go as an alternative.
I paid £49 for my room, it was a reasonable price for a single room, twin/doubles were £55 I think, these prices are about the most I would have paid for the stay. less
