A standard Best Western level of comfort, cleanliness, and service. We had an executive suite in a designated area at the far end of the building so quite quiet and spacious room on ground floor looking out over car park. thank God for glass shower screens, not plastic curtains. No fridge though.
There are so many notices all over the hotel saying you have to check in your car number at reception, that I cannot understand anyone not noticing them (unless they are going round all day playing Space Invaders on their phone). The hotel tells me they have had severe problems with unauthorised parking that they have had to contract out the parking - its free for guests.
Dined in for the two nights, but food barely adequate : plenty of it (except for the minute antipasto starter), although we had to ask for mustard with the steaks.At least they made up some fresh Bearnaise sauce for me. But steaks medium and medium rare for some reason cremated on the outside as well as the required pink in the middle. Pork dish was far too large and unmanageable. Soup adequate. Desserts OK, but looked bought in. Lack of atmosphere on Saturday night as hardly anyone dining.
There was a "Dog Friendly" designated table at the entrance to the bar
Very expensive indeed for what it is - even though we were on a conference DB & B rate with a Best Western Membership card. less

Thanks for your feedback on the food, obviously we are disappointed that you didn't enjoy it as much as last year particularly as we have the same kitchen team in the hotel. I will discuss your comments internally and they will be helpful for future menu planning. Just one point, in fact we make the majority of desserts in house as we have an excellent pastry chef.
