A colleague who had a business meeting at the hotel with a booked conference room, a hotel which she had attended over many years was in a rush and didn't notice that the hotel now charges for parking.
It was a genuine oversight and she was there on legitimate business but the hotel insisted she had to pay a £60 fine stating it was now the chains policy to do so.
These hotels are independently owned so shame on the owner for such a poor response to a loyal customer. less

Thanks for your review, I'm sorry your colleague was inconvenienced by our car parking system however in fairness I should point out we have in excess of 40 internal and external signs advising our guests whilst the car park remains free we do advise a number plate recognition system operates at the hotel and if this is not done a charge is levied. I should also point out that the system was introduced as a result of a growing number of our guests telling us about the lack of space for their vehicles and for many months,we have been dealing with a growing issue of unauthorised parking at the hotel.
The hotel does not gain any income form this service and I'm delighted you have taking the opportunity to let others know about the system, our aim is to improve on our current 98% compliance rate and I hope this review will help us to achieve this aim.
