We stayed here as part of a National Holidays trip and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and welcoming with a well stocked, reasonably priced bar.
Our room was a standard twin and was more than adequate for our needs. Each room also had a hairdryer and iron with ironing board. We had Sky TV, and the only slight niggle was that we couldn't get rid of the subtitles, although this was down to our lack of tech knowledge rather than a criticism.
The restaurant was bright and clean, and the food superb. The 3-course dinner menu had a good selection and was beautifully presented. The jugs of iced water on the table were a nice touch and replenished swiftly, and you could take your drinks in from the bar if preferred. Breakfast was buffet style (bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, hash brown, black pudding to die for, beans, tomatoes etc) with a selection of cereals, pastries and hot and cold drinks.
The hotel stands in its own leafy grounds just off the main road with a co-op shop and a pub close by.
All in all we couldn't fault it, and can highly recommend. less
