I stayed at this hotel for one night at the beginning of October 2015 my arrival time was around 11pm at night, upon arrival the the entrance of the hotel and reception were very clean. The male member of staff who dealt with the check in process was rather scatterbrained and wouldn't let the people I arrived with try to explain their queries. After being issued with my key I made my way to find my room - along the corridor, out the door, down the stairs, across some pavement, and up some more stairs. The walk took approximately 2 minutes and again looked well kept. The room I had was rather large and dated but still clean (minus a few cobwebs around lamp shades), the bathroom had the usual complimentary toiletries and was well stocked with additional rolls of toilet paper and towels. There was a large TV mounted on a wall in the bedroom along with a kettle, tea, coffee and a pack of biscuits. The information in the hotel reception and room noted that free wifi was available throughout the hotel, I was unable to find the wifi in my room. I never ate inside the hotel however, it did appear that they had very little staff the next day. I waited at the bar for quite a while or a drink, at one point a young female member of staff (mid to late 20's) appeared when I asked if I could just order a water she tutted, said she was too busy and wandered away. I then asked the receptionist Angela if she would be able to get me a drink. Angela was lovely and as well as getting my drink answered all my questions, called me a taxi and allowed me to store my case for collection later in the day. She was fabulous - the best part of the hotel in my opinion. You get what you pay for at this hotel however it greatly lacks competent staff (perhaps they should employ Angela to teach them some customer service), I think it is suitable for a stay between 1-3 nights I personally would have struggled to stay any longer.
The main issues were the lack of staff and the attitude of some members of staff.
