Pulled in late afternoon up from Chaco Canyon. The room was a king; clean and spacious with a good bed and great shower - the later defined as good shower head and hot hot water. No in room safe, but I only stayed one night.
The breakfast was incredible and the best not only on this trip but better than many I had stayed at over the years. I was thankful for that because only on vacation do I eat a hearty breakfast - no lunch - fairly big dinner. They had waffles to order, biscuits and gravy, fried and scrambled eggs, links, cereal, large selection of bread, fruit and yogurt, a variety of drinks both hot and cold and I am sure I have missed something.
My room faced the main highway but never heard any noise so good insulation. Lots of eateries within walking distance with one right next door. I chose BBQ which I drove to but it to was not that far and I had I not walked all day at Chaco, I would have walked there. Gas stations also practically next door. Everything was convenient. If you are traveling to Taos or about there, gas up if running low. You won't find a station until Dulce, then Chama. Only about two more after that till Taos.
I like Bloomfield. Quaint and I may come back through and if so, I will not hesitate to stay here again. less
