We stayed here as a base for visiting the castles and great houses in the area. Perfect for this. It is a little far out of town if you want to visit Aberdeen centre, though there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. The room was very spacious, with a sink, microwave and fridge as well as tea making facilities. There was also a welcome pack that was replenished every day. Juice in the fridge and hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee and snacks provided. Only place we came across this. Staff lovely. Breakfast by far the best we had anywhere, including the much more expensive Doubletree in Glasgow. You could order eggs any way you liked and get fresh pancakes. Wonderful. The only caveat is that there are no restaurants nearby. We had takeaway pizza the one night, and ate in a small Indian takeaway another night. The one night we ate in the hotel the soup was okay, with nice bread, but no choice. However, there is a good supermarket just next door, so you can stock up there. less
