Unhelpful staff. disgusting rooms, didn't actually stay!
This is a review going back to September. We booked via Booking.com and since then it has been a nightmare.
When we arrived, we paid a bonkers amount for parking and then were pointed towards our room. I say room, but what I really mean is, a hovel.
The room was unbearably hot and dusty, the bed was broken, the toilet and bathroom had clearly not been cleaned, the shower was broken so was the toilet seat. The kettle had things living it and you couldn't open any windows.
As for the floor in the room, it sounded as if it was going to fall through and the carpet has so much gunk growing on it, it would probably walk out on its own.
The room we saw on booking.com was simply not the same room.
This is a disgusting and run-down, excuse of a hotel.
So, I spoke to the lady at the desk who got agitated and became very unhelpful, in short, they said tough, you booked via booking.com and they could do nothing to help.
I spoke with booking.com who said they would speak to the property. This has now been going on since early September regarding a refund.
I also tried to ring the hotel on multiple occasions and have been cut off or told sorry, no managers are available right now. I've left messages multiple times only to be ignored.
Booking.com claims the hotel needs to refund my money and the hotel is basically ignoring me. My advice to others! Avoid this very run-down hovel and stay somewhere else.
If like me you suffer from asthma, then 100% avoid it as it's very damp and very dusty, it's a disgusting hotel. less
