I am so glad we stayed at this hotel. The hotel is older, but so are a lot of hotels in South Tahoe, it had lovely grounds and was kept up nicely. The front desk personnel were helpful and kind. They allowed me to check in very early. It was very much appreciated. Breakfast vouchers come with the room for their restaurant. Breakfast was great! Nice little menu with good choices and delish! Service was quick and friendly.
The hotel is a little dated, but felt clean and comfortable. We had the one queen room. I knew when I booked that it is small. It is small, but I was grateful that it had a queen bed. The room would probably feel bigger if there wasn't quite as much furniture. It has two good size chairs with a little end table, the bed plus two bedside tables, a large dresser, desk with chair, and armoire. They need to do away with the armoire and put a nice rod for hanging in the same place, get a smaller dresser, move the fridge to under the sink area, get smaller chairs and do away with or get a much smaller end table and smaller bedside tables. The desk could probably go as well, but it's nice to have a place to put electronics and to charge them, so not sure I would do away with the desk. I think all this furniture made the room feel small and hard for two people to maneuver around. Still, it was comfortable and I didn't really mind it.
The pool area was well used when we were there and looked very clean. They had a nice deck by the pool area where you could order drinks and some food. Also had a guy playing guitar and singing on the deck on Sunday who was awesome. Wish I would have caught his name, but he was great.
The absolute best thing about this hotel is the location! It could not be beat. Quiet and nice area but only a couple blocks to everything. Three blocks to the Heavenly resort area with all it's shops and restaurants. Another block beyond that to the casinos. The lake and beach is only 2 blocks and was a very easy walk. The hotel even gives beach passes so you don't need to pay the $10 per person to get in. Parking is also included with the room and there seemed to be plenty.
I would definitely stay here again! less

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am very glad you enjoyed your visit with us and look forward to your return.
We agree the queen rooms can fell quite small and we are listening. We will soon be undergoing a major renovation to address the exact issues you faced. You can follow our progress on our social media pages. I would love to have you back once the project is completed and hear your thought on how we are doing.
Again, Thank you for your very kind words.
