I worked in hotels for five years and know negative reviews can cause problems for a hotel so I do not take writing one lightly. The hotel itself is pretty old looking which I am okay with. The room itself is a bit outdated but the linens and bathroom were clean which is mainly what I ask for. That is where the positives stopped. First, the small negatives. Worst shower I have taken. I would have gotten more water pressure if I had stood outside in the rain we got that night. It was impossible to get the shampoo out of my hair. Then my mother found pieces of a bug's body in her bed. We also got to witness, what I assume was a guest, peeing on a car in the parking lot. All of this would not have made me write this. What did was the total lack of security at this hotel. When I checked in I was not asked for my ID or credit card. Just my last name and then they used the card I had on file. Identity theft anyone? Then my mom forgot our room number and thought it was a different room. She tried her room key at the door which of course did not work. Thinking it was the key, she went to the front desk, gave the (wrong) room, number and with no identification they cut her a key to a room that was not hers. Which basically tells me, anyone who asked for a key to my room would have gotten it. Not to mention how unsafe it was if my mom had walked into another strangers room. I can deal with small issues, but security is not something I take lightly. less

I'm truly sorry for the experience you described. I believe you booked and were prepaid with Expedia which is no excuse but may explain why they did not use your ID to verify the credit card as it was an Expedia one time card. As for the other issues, we have a strict protocol in place for replacing a guests keys and many if not all the issues you described. I am at a loss to explain how they were overlooked during your visit. We truly are sorry and I will be retraining the staff on this first day of work safety issues they should all be practicing.
