Our hotel of choce when we visit this area is ALWAYS this facility, the BW Seacliff Inn! We tend to come down to the Monterey Bay coastal area a few times a year. When we're staying at the north end of the bay, we stay at the BW Seacliff Inn and have for many years. The grounds of this hotel, which is right next to a busy Hwy 1, are well groomed and maintained. The facility is divided into a number of smaller buildings which gives it a higher end feel. All the buildings a two story but there are no elevators on the property so guests who are unable to climb stairs will need to stay in the first floor rooms. All the rooms have either a balcony (upstairs) or patio (ground floor). We prefer the 2nd floor rooms and facing the "quad" area and pool. These rooms are very quiet with a dual pane glass sliding door. The pool and spa area is nice appointed as are all of the grounds. There are nice gardens and lawns in the center of the facility and ample parking around the perimeter, All the paths lead to the main building that houses a nice restaurant called Severino's. There is a cut little bridge that goes over a well stocked Koi pond and the outdoor seating is around this feature that also includes a nice flowing waterfall. As you would expect, the BW (free) breakfast is served inside the lounge/dining room area but rarely at any other BW I have stayed at is it in a restaurant with such a following that customers come in from outside the hotel to enjoy it. As my wife said, this is the best free breakfast of any hotel we have ever stayed at. We're a married senior citizen couple and always get the two queen bed room. The beds were very comfortable, bedding nice but not too heavy. There was a coffee maker but no microwave oven that you find at some places. The also was a half refrigerator that worked well but unfortunately did not have freezer capability like some do (a minor inconvenience). One thing though, our particular room didn't have a printed TV channel guide and the channel guide displayed on the TV (Channel 01) did not match the shows and programming actually on the selected channels! Pretty weird but we made the best of it as we're not really "complainers". That little bump in the road would never stop us from coming back to one of the best bargains on the central coast - the Best Western Seacliff Inn in Aptos, CA. less

Dear patz66b,
Wow! Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It sounds like you had a nice time while staying with us, and we couldn't be happier that we are your hotel of choice when visiting the area! Your description of your stay and the hotel amenities is very detailed and much appreciated! We apologize their wasn't a channel guide in your room. Your right the channels guide displayed on the TV does not match the show programming. We've been trying to get this issue resolved, but Comcast has not been able to fix this for us. Again, thank you for your kind comments about your stay and thank you for the recommendations to guest. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back to the Seacliff Inn again very soon.
Kindest regards,
