We drove in from Ft. Worth area after having to find a hotel last minute a week before because the LaQuinta burned in town. Based on these reviews I booked this hotel at an outrageous price, do to seasonal rate hikes. It's worse that Motel 6. There were stains on the sheets, room stunk, a/c barely got cold, and you're talking about sleeping in the humidity of the hill country. Whether you're easily offended or not, I don't care. The mgr is of Indian or similar descent who is difficult to speak with. I had booked through Priceline and had paid for 2 rooms. First night horrible and wanted money back for 2nd night and cancel reservation due to the things mentioned above. I spent hours being stuck between Priceline and the Mgr. Priceline needed the Mgr's approval to refund and the Mgr acted dumb and said he didn't have authority, even when I had Priceline on the phone and gave him the phone directly after he hung up on her. Her refused to care about the customer and tried to blame it on Priceline. All he had to do is give authorization. I have now been told by Priceline and Best Western it is by his authority, for me to get my money back on an unsatisfactory room. I have also put in a formal complaint with Best Western. I am not guaranteed my money back but I'm trying to fight for it and let Best Western know people like this are running hotels and ruining their name. I will Never stay here again. This is with using common sense and judgement. We are on a budget and not made of money but I expect my room to be clean, comfy, and cool for $100 plus.This was NOT! less
