I recently stayed at Salford Hall Hotel for the Cheltenham Festival and loved the photos online and was excited to stay. I arrived, reception were very helpful and friendly. I got into the room; a double room in the stable block which I had read not such positive reviews on so was a little nervous. It's nice but nothing too special, although the bathrooms are nice and newly done by the looks of it.
Unfortunately these slightly negative reviews about the thin walls and being able to hear everything is true! I got woken up at about 5.30am by my neighbour having a shower and getting ready which was a little frustrating but not the end of the world. The mattresses are also very hard which doesn't make for the best nights sleep!
I was a rather disappointed with the breakfast in the morning. For the full English they give you literally one piece of each (Bacon, sausage, hash brown etc) which I thought was really stingy as breakfast is £13 but I suppose you get access to the buffet too which makes up for it.
Overall I'd definitely stay again and indeed plan to next year but i'll pay more and stay in the house where the thin walls don't seem to be a problem less
