We stayed in this hotel from a Friday through a Monday. The hotel is average and could use a major refresh, but the location from everything to do in DC, you just can't beat for the price! We booked through Hotels.Com and came in at around $81 per night including all taxes and fees. Our drive into DC to visit all of the attractions was an easy 5-10 minutes based on traffic and was about 4 minutes from hotel door to Arlington's parking lot. The Goods: The beds were comfortable, the AC/heat worked, ample pillows, had hot water, coffee machine, etc The Bads: The parking lot is really tight and for some reason they had cones out blocking 4-5 much needed spaces. They do have an overflow parking garage that we had to use 1 night. The rooms need a serious refresh - the drywall in the bathroom needed redone, some of the base carpeting was coming apart and the tv in our room needed turned off and on about 5 times before it would stay on, and while we could not hear what was going on in the rooms beside us, you could hear everything going on in the parking lot. Our biggest complaint is we chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool and our kids love swimming before bedtime. The pool was closed and was not slated to open for the season until March. I thought the whole purpose of an indoor pool was to have it open year round? I would have appreciated reading a disclaimer somewhere that their pool had seasonal operation hours. We would have probably still gone with this hotel based on price and proximity to downtown - but I could have avoided my kids being upset and the packing space where the swimming suits and towels were in my car. Overall, this hotel is good if you want to spend money on doing other things in DC and not spending a fortune on lodging. Great for the location and proximity to all DC has to offer and was clean, the front desk was friendly and the beds were bug free! less
