Whenever I, and/or my family travel, we try to find a hotel with a pool. Can't always do it for various reasons, but we try. So, we wanted something outside of downtown Toronto, with a pool and this was it. The main problems? Read on:
1) The valet driver was annoyed that we took longer than he wanted to get our luggage out of our vehicle. There was no vehicle behind us waiting. Then he got into our vehicle and drove it like a race car. I uttered to myself: "Something tells me that this is not going to be a pleasant stay".
2) At the front desk, we asked where we could find the pool. The clerk said: "It's closed for the day", to which I reminded him that there was still half an hour left, as per the info I found online re: the pool. "Well, it's late enough so you can't use it" said he. I've been to enough hotels in my time to know that some things are not worth arguing about, and no matter what, HE was going to get HIS way. So, after booking 'THIS' hotel for pool use, we never got to swim. After entering our room, we went to "check" out the pool. That became the next issue:
3) Outside rooftop dirty pool. But I suppose it wasn't a lost cause, as the 2 racoons present probably made the best of it.
4) Very hot room.
5) Way way overpriced for we got. Hey, I've spent in the hundreds of dollars a night for a room/suite, but they were worth every penny. This place wasn't worth half of what they were charging. They could offer me a free room in this place, and less
