We had a lovely four night stay in Paris at this Best Western hotel. We booked this hotel through Groupon as it was a lot cheaper on there and breakfast was included in the price (£51/night).
The location was perfect for us as it is outside the centre of Paris but isn’t too far away on the metro for day trips into the city. The hotel is generally clean and tidy, modern, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. So our overall first impressions of this hotel were good.
However, we did have a few issues during our stay here. Firstly, after our first day out we came back to the hotel to find that our room had been seen to by the cleaners (obviously this wasn’t the issue). The issue was that the cleaner/s had left their cleaning stuff in our room, with the window wide open (which was shut when we left) and as the safe in our room didn’t work, anyone could have come in through the window and taken our belongings. They also took our old towels and replaced them with small hand towels instead of regular size ones which meant we had to go down to reception to get these changed.
Also, our room had some maintenance issues regarding the doors to the shower. The door wouldn’t close properly and inevitably caused the bathroom floor to become wet when showering. The TV was very temperamental and wouldn’t work for a lot of the time during our stay. We had the same issue with the wifi. We were very reliant upon the data on our phones in order to look up things do to around Paris on the internet.
On the other hand, the air-con in our room was very good and kept us cool during the night. Also, the breakfast was nice and had a lot of variety to it.
We both agree that we wouldn’t stay here again as the room seemed to lack a bit of TLC. However, for the price we paid on Groupon for our stay, we believe the hotel was of satisfactory quality. less
