I'm probably the worst person to travel with as I'm so fussy so I spent hours looking at reviews for this hotel before we booked and I was a bit cautious due to other reviews but I'd like to clarify a few points that looking back I wish someone had clarified before I stayed
1. The hotel does have a strange smell, I think it may be the air conditioning needs servicing but that said, after 10 minutes being in the room you don't smell it anymore and the room itself is SPOTLESS - and believe me, I inspect the bed, bathroom etc... with a fine eye before we unpack at any hotel.
2. It is noisy outside - BUT... you're staying in a central hotel - what else do you expect? You can't have the best of both worlds, if street noise bothers you then stay on the outskirts of the city. And as a side note reception off free ear plugs all you have to do is ask (there's even a sign in your room telling you this)
3. The rooftop deck has one of the most amazing skyline views I've ever seen, please visit at night it is one of the most amazing things you'll ever see
4. Unfortunately the only thing stopping me giving this hotel the full 5 stars (other than the air conditioning smell) is the restaurant, just don't eat there.... it's joined to the hotel when you check in you're given 2 drinks vouchers for 50% off your first drink there, after 15 hours travelling we were starving and ordered pizza, wings, garlic bread and chicken tenders, the pizza was clearly a frozen pizza and was like cardboard, my boyfriend found a hair on his pizza but didn't want to make a fuss (we didn't eat any more of the pizza after that) the wings tasted extremely strange and then I found another hair on my chicken, I told our waiter and he just took the plate away and brought us the bill ($60 for horrible food with hair in) but there are plenty of places to eat nearby so don't be put off!!
This really is a nice hotel and a bargain price, really spacious. less

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback. Our central downtown location and the sundeck are two of our most popular amenities, we're glad you enjoyed. Our team takes great pride in the work they do and we are pleased you found the room spotless. We apologize the restaurant was less than expected, this is not the typical feedback we receive regarding an experience there. Please be assured all offering are made from scratch. We will use your feedback constructively. We hope to see you again soon on a future trip back to Chicago.
