The other reviews really don't exaggerate. This is not only a well-run hotel but a guest friendly one to an extent you don't often find in many more pretentious places in Cornwall. Never mind the well-equipped rooms (high-count Egyptian cotton sheets, an HD television that actually works, fruit as well as biscuits, good blackout curtains, excellent lighting, pod coffee-maker and kettle, iron, fan, good-sized and well-equipped bathroom), just add in really adequate parking in a town-centre hotel, a huge garden and a swimming pool. And one or two family rooms where two children can sleep in what is in effect an additional small room in robust bunk-beds, so that parents can read or sew without needing to creep around in the semi-darkness. Our room was quiet with a glorious view over the hills, not least because the hotel is set wellback from the A390.
But what really comes across is the customer focus. This hotel really seems to understand what guests need. less
