We are frequent customers at Best Western Hotels in the USA and I have a Platinum rating on my account. The BW points never expire - unlike my other hotel chains. We have used our BW points to stay at great hotels across Europe - most recently in Paris, France.
I have know many levels of BW hotels - and rooms. They are all owned independently and the quality varies - along with the prices, of course. Even the worst in some small town in the middle of nowhere still provides a good place to sleep, but the hotels classed as Best Western Plus provide a higher level of comfort and service. And now Best Western has introduced the Premier class of hotels. This was my first experience - The BW Premier Milwaukee Brookfield.
I reserved a King room with a sofa and we were checked in quickly, I had an early meeting so I pre-registered and requested an early check in time. They had our room ready when we arrived. The room was large and the king bed was comfortable. There was a couch and a coffee table - and a good sized desk for working with lots of outlets available for my computer and other "stuff." The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and a microwave.
In the bathroom there were towels with a thickness and absorbency that was a mark of excellence -- with actual little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash - rather than a dispenser on the wall that never delivers any products ... (I want to be green and eliminate plastic bottles, but can't someone build a dispenser that can deliver some liquid or gel when I am standing in a stream of shower water with my eyes closed ??)
The room had a feature that is a first for me. The large flat screen TV on the wall had a panel on the wall below it that is an AV input panel for the TV. If you have a laptop with RCA cables or an HDMI cable you can plug in and watch your own show on the TV. I like that !!
The free breakfast was provided in a large open room with lots of tables. I liked the fact that the silverware was metal -- and the plates were not paper .... more quality. There is a large pool and an exercise room that I did not have time to use.
From start to finish our experience was perfect - at a price that was hard to beat.
We will be looking forward to more Premier facilities as we continue to choose Best Western hotels. less
