This hotel was our base in Padova while we were exploring this relation of Italy. It was a great base-a 15 minute walk from the train station. The number 10 bus is frequent and stops right outside the main front door. To get the bus to the train station, cross the road and walk just past the large BMW garage and you can catch it there. The bus back to the hotel was handy after a long day of exploring some of the nearby cities (Florence, Venice, Verona etc).
One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because I had read a number of reviews stating that you could have breakfast here for 4 euros per day. When we checked in for our 7 night stay we were told this was only the case if you paid upfront for breakfast for the whole duration of the stay, which wouldn’t work for us as some days we were leaving the hotel very early to spend the day in another city. Breakfast on individual days was 10 euros.
I also chose this hotel because of the spa which we didn’t end up using because there were too many other great things to do in the area.
The hotel itself and the bedrooms were very clean. The bedroom and bathroom were both big and there was lots of wardrobe space. The air con worked well. Surprisingly (for a hotel in Europe) there was a kettle with tea, coffee and milk in the room which was great.
The bar was nice with reasonably priced drinks and snacks. Beware on a Sunday that hardly anything is open for food but there were some cold snacks on the bar which were free -a nice touch, but we wanted something a bit more substantial as we hadn’t eaten much all day, so ordered a toastie. Not great for your main meal of the day, but it was ok.
Hotel has plenty of parking and free WiFi in all areas. I would recommend it. less
