Nothing fancy or outstanding to mention. Hotel was clean, except for the long, dark hairs on one of the pillows on our bed (ewww). Housecleaning also neglected to clean our room while we were there. Bathroom was ok, though the counter tops are so high! Like bar top height! At first our shower (a nice rain head btw) had crazy disco lights flashing, every time we used it, which was kind of fun but odd, lol. Then it stopped working. Our tub faucet had water coming out of it in a pretty steady stream that would not stop, no matter how hard we turned the handles. So much for "helping the environment by saving water"!
We had a king suite which was quite spacious. It was odd though that the only tv was in the bedroom area, not the livingroom, so guests could not see it from the couch. The ac unit was adequate, though I hate these units that you can only have cold air and no fan control, or have the fan on and no cold air. So if you want to keep the unit running, to cover the noise made by other guests (we had a whole group of kids across the hall that liked to run up and down the hall, and slam doors, at 6:30 am on the weekend. Ugh!), you get fan only, no ac. Not a great plan in Texas! The unit is also right under the curtains (not unusual) so when the unit is blowing, the curtains go FLYING, letting the light in. Our room window was also open when we checked in....and it was almost 100 degrees out!!
The employees were very nice, though it would be a bonus if they were familiar with the area, so when asking for a recommendation on a place that was open to grab a quick late-night bite, they could help ;)
As for the breakfast, I couldn't say if it was good or bad. We got there 30 minutes before it was due to close and they had 1 danish, half a bagel, and some juice left, with no refills of anything at that point. Same the following day (Sunday) when we got there 45 minutes before).
All in all, if you are looking for a short stay and are not concerned about breakfast, this should do fine. less
