This hotel was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good (eggs, pancakes, potatoes, yogurt, milk, juice). I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again, however, there were three things that prevent me from giving this hotel a 5 rating.
First, the pool was closed. We had been telling our child the entire LONG drive to get to Winslow that we would be able to swim. Apparently, a child had pooped in the pool and they had put extra chlorine (I think?) into the pool so it was off limits. This obviously wasn't the hotel's fault, but I know that with community pools the pool doesn't close for the rest of the day if it gets pooped in.
Second, we were put into a room with only a shower. I don't know if there were bathtubs available, but when traveling with small children, showers don't really work as well. Especially with my child who hates getting her hair wet. Baths are hard enough. However, if I were traveling with just my husband this would not have been a problem at all.
Third, there was only ONE CRIB on site. This is crazy to me. I understand hotels having a limited number of cribs, but ONE? Because of this, I was forced to make a bed on the floor for my child. This was frustrating. She was fine and obviously won't remember it, but I was just shocked there weren't more than one available.
I think this hotel would be great for business and couples, but less so for families. Still, Best Western offers quality hotels and I recommend this one in Winslow. less
