We booked into this Best Western on a cross country trip based on price and the pictures of the pool. Turns out to have been the best hotel of the trip!
Why? The hotel ain't gorgeous from the curb, but it is new, comfortable, well appointed, and immaculate. Rooms are large, beds and linens are good, coffee, tv and all the in-room items were nice. But here's the bonus: people, pool and food.
People: a warm welcome, helpful and friendly staff and good cheer all around.
Pool: we'll you should have seen us - a couple of 60-somethings enjoying the water slide, the swirling vortex and the waterfall thingy. The pool was empty, clean, warm and used salt water so was easy on the eyes and skin. We had it to ourselves...and had a ball. (I highly recommend doing fun things that would embarrass your kids.)
Food: Brenda is the good soul behind this hotel's lovely complimentary breakfast. She serves all the usual stuff-cereal, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, waffles. But, the hot selections were much higher quality than usual, with delicious mini-quiches, two kinds of sausage, pyrogies and sour cream. Add freshly cut fruit salads, locally baked breads, and premium coffee...it was the best breakfast selection I've seen - and I've sampled dozens. Kudos for Brenda.
Good value, good quality, and good fun. less
