This is a review that I put off because it is a mixed review and I thought it would be better to not speak. HOWEVER, I thought it was important to mention we might not return. Ironically we have had the same room all 3 visits and enjoyed that room a lot all 3 times. Very comfortable, pleasant with a little bit of a view of the bay. Apparently I must hve offended hotel staff in some way because we just did not get along at all. I felt they were SNOTTY and demeaning in their attitude. Made us wait almost 1 1/2 hours to check in even though other people were checking in and proceeding to their rooms. After check in I could not connect to their internet. I thought that was interesting because I had NO trouble connecting in the previous 2 visits, Anyway, one of the SNOTTY front desk persons theoretically corrected the problem but making some changes on my computer. When I returned home those changes were goofing up my home connection which required almost 3 days for me to figure out what was changed. Personally, I think the front desk personnel I encountered need a refresher course in customer relations.
BY THE WAY, THE FAKE PARKING CHARGE HAS BEEN INCREASED TO $16/DAY. ALSO BE ADVISED THIS HOTEL IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING ADA COMPLIANT. I AM VERY SURPRISED SOMEBODY HAS NOT SUED THIS COMPANY/PROPERTY. IF YOU HAVE ANY HINT OF A DISABILITY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. less

We are so glad that we had the opportunity to welcome you back on your recent visit. We appreciate your review and did follow up with our management staff and would like to take this time to respond. We apologize that you were disappointed with your check-in experience as our onsite staff worked hard to get your requested room ready for you as it wasn't ready when you arrived at 1pm due to being fully occupied the night before. We did offer you a different room that was ready but this was declined as you wanted to wait for your requested room. However, we were happy to learn that we were still able to give you an early check-in at 3pm. In addition, we apologize for the shortcomings you experienced with our wifi but again were happy to learn that our front office staff worked with you to connect it. Finally, as we are a private property, all guests are made to pay our parking fee. This charge is important to us, as it goes directly toward our efforts to create a secure environment for our guests. It has always been our practice to be transparent regarding the fees our guests pay and do so by including this fee in all confirmation letters and on our website under the Services we provide. We apologize that this fee was not anticipated and regret that this made you think less of our hotel, especially since this fee as been in place on your previous visits. We certainly hope to welcome you back on your next visit to Monterey and restore your positive regard in our hotel.
