Good value - but skip room 206 if you like to sleep-in.

We were in town to attend Thanksgiving at a relatives home. We checked in late on Thursday(Thanksgiving), after a day of visiting, and stuffing ourselves. The location is very nice, right next to Wappinger's Creek (I think). The Front Desk clerk gave us the WiFi username and password while we were checking in & I appreciated getting it then. It was simple to navigate. We were in Room 206, so it was close to the stairs to the breakfast room and the lobby. The room was tastefully decorated and it was all clean....except for 2 greasy forehead prints on the window-yuck. I hope 'Julia' has windexed them since our Sunday check out. We fell asleep easily and at the time we were to get out of bed, I kept hearing a rhythmic pounding...no, not some one's head against a headboard; no, not a dryer full of sneakers...it was coming from the Fitness room, on the other side of our tv wall. A runner on their treadmill was doing the rhythmic pounding, with his feet! It was loud. That noise would make me quit running..but so would shiny things. :) Not a bother since we are early risers, any way. But, something to keep in mind if you like to sleep past 7:00 A.M. I'm not sure if the treadmill needs to be serviced, because it didn't sound normal, to me.
I liked that the breakfast was self-serve and had a nice variety. We used the waffle maker and the waffles were good. Also had Chobani yogurt and fruit. Why not put some Redi-Whip on the waffle? I'm on vacation.
All things considered, I would stay here again and recommend it to other family that might be looking for a place to stay. We come to this area often, since I have family that live a short drive from here. We live about 4 hours away and had driven into town so I can't speak to any other amenities they might offer, e.g. shuttle service. less
