One night stay. I had a room at the front which gave a view of the common, so a nice view out the window. The road out front is busy during the day, but as there are so many traffic lights on the road the traffic moves so slowly there is little to no noise in the room. The bed was comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in room, more than I've had in some other hotels.
Bathroom was small, but well laid out. Shower had a reasonable strength to it and designed so you could get it to temperature without standing under the water. Not sure lavender shower gel and shampoo is ideal though. The sink was small, which at least means you can get close enough to the mirror to shave properly, too many UK hotels are seemingly designed to make shaving difficult. Can also pipe the radio into the bathroom which is something I like.
There was a good selection of food for breakfast, but there was no butter only Flora margarine. The waitress went to get a few pieces of butter for me from kitchen, so not sure if no butter is the norm. Service was good at breakfast, all the staff were friendly and helpful, and a proper china teapot for my tea.
Free parking is very good to have this close to the centre of Cambridge. Free Wifi at a decent speed.
Overall a good hotel and I would more than likely stay here again if I go back to Cambridge. less
