Best Western Tacoma Dome Hotel not recommended.
Even before going inside this hotel there were people hanging out outside, other guests who were showing their lower class culture. Inside the front desk clerk on the afternoon shift were taking calls while having people standing wait, instead of the other way around, indicating lack of support staff to handle the calls separately.
Ice machines are located on the 2nd, 4th, & 6th floors. The ice machine on the 2nd floor didn't work, there wasn't any power, called to report this the same clerk informed me to go to the 6th floor. Another inquiry if there is a charge for calling an 800 toll-free call, the same clerk paused then said she believed there isn't a charge wasn't reassuring. There is a small square table that's been poorly repaired when I noticed one corner there was a screw protruding above the surface, then noticed a hack repair ok n the legs with L brackets used to hold the legs in place. Whens made up, the housekeeping person place conditioner but no shampoo. None of these things are major, but a lot of little details that sums up a lack of pride of ownership. Upon returning to the hotel to park after 2200 hours, the garage gate was locked, I used my hotel card but it wouldn't open, along with someone speaking in Spanish it sounded which didn't understand and and flashing lights at us from behind. It was their security person trying to inform us that lot A is full, go to lot B. The staff on the day shift seems like there's more of them and maybe more competent, but I didn't interact with them. My first impression with the afternoon clerk was the first impression of this hotel, and that is to not recommend staying here.
Breakfast was decent, with enough staff to keep things in order, omelet station for made to order omelet, waffle makers, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, orange juice, coffee, tea, cocoa powder mix, oatmeal, bagels, danishes. Checkout is noon. less
