Considering this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel I was very underwhelmed. The rooms were nice enough though the carpets were quite dirty and the shower was great however the beds weren’t the most comfortable. The cushions provided were very basic and with one pretty poor spare one in the cupboard, it meant either my wife or I would have to make do with nothing. The next day I went to reception to ask for another cushion and was told there were no spare. Really? No spare cushions in the whole hotel?? We has to take the duvet out of the sheet and roll it up as a makeshift pillow across the bed as the room was very hot. In the winter the thermostat is set to hearing and not a/c so we couldn’t cool the room down. If you fancy a cup of tea in the room then they don’t supply this. You get some coffee but that’s it. I had to get some from reception which is fine however when I put the small UHT milk in the cup, the second one was curdled and turned into a cream. It had obviously gone off. No worries I thought, I’ll go and ask at reception for milk but was told they had none at all!!! I had to make do with a cup of hot milk from the machine which doesn’t really work with tea. Not great.
Breakfast was a very basic set up to say the least. A small seating area with a very small selection in my opinion. Some scrambled egg, sausages, bacon, no beans or tomatoes and two cereals and some fruit, cold meats and cheese, and the standard breads. You could have a boiled egg but this needed to be done yourself. Overall I’d say if you were staying on business for one night then fine but we stayed for 3 nights so I was slightly disappointed. It’s also a couple of train rides away from the centre of Paris however the hotel was a couple of mins walk from the station which was good. As I said, this would be a 3 star hotel max in my opinion. Doubt I’d go there again. less
