Nothing is more frustrating than getting a respiratory infection while on vacation. That’s life. So, after giving it my all until about 1:00 PM at Disney, I walked back feeling ill. For some silly reason my room still wasn’t cleaned. I called and addressed this with the front desk. About 30-40 minutes later, Housekeeping finally arrived.
I proceed to sit at the small table with the door opened. I was not a threat to anyone. However the AGM came literally running to my room and basically made me feel like an idiot for staying in the room while they cleaned it. I was informed to go the Breakfast Area, despite there being a closed sign on the wall. Apparently sitting at the table reading news articles and posing on Facebook is a crime while the room is being cleaned. (Wouldn’t surprise me; as this California, after all.)
Moral of the story...decent well-maintained hotel, but don’t expect to have the room serviced until 5 PM. Also, don’t get sick; and expect to stay in the room while they clean it. Because, expecting your room to be cleaned when you come back in the afternoon, is expecting too much. (Left for Disney at 8:30 that morning)
Thankfully, I have a choice in where I stay. So when I return in February, this hotel will not be where I stay. Be forewarned, I stayed for 5 days. I am posting an honest review. less
