Not what we expected from a BW Plus

We booked a room at this motel on the BW website – a room with a king bed, balcony and water view. More about that in a moment. When we arrive to check-in, the one clerk was busy talking to someone on the phone – it sounded like an argument. At no time did she acknowledge us and we stood there waiting for a good 15 minutes. Finally, someone showed up from the office and did the check-in. There was no acknowledgement that we were rewards members. I also gave this person my $20 BW Gift Card and he said he would take care of it. More about that later. We went to check out the room as we usually do before moving in. Well, no water view but a great view of the parking lot. Back to the front desk and complained. We got moved to a room with water view, but two queens instead of a king. These rooms are fairly small and two queens kind of takes up a lot of room, but we moved in. Surprisingly, there were no chairs on the balcony. This is NOT what we have come to expect from a BW PLUS.
The next day we went to the lobby to read as the seating in our room left a lot to be desired. The lobby was quite comfortable with lots of seating. We couldn’t help but noticing the long line of people trying to check-in. Nor good considering the counter had two check in stations.
Checking out – we received our invoice but the $20 credit was not on it. Fortunately, Alex took care of it. At least they have one competent person at the front desk. Thank you Alex.
Now for a positive comment – The motel’s location is great – we might even stay there again less
