People should be made aware that this is a Covid isolation hotel and that if you stay here then you are being put at a much higher risk of infection than at another hotel that isn't.
They are not an "official quarantine" hotel but they are allowing any workers or travelers who need to come from out of province and who are required by law to self isolate by law to use their facility.
This is why the breakfast in this BW is delivered and is not a Grab and Go bag like at other BW's.
When I rang down to reception after checking in to confirm this information and to ask if we would be refunded if we decided not to continue the stay as we didn't feel safe, the manager (Jasmine) grabbed the phone out of her staff's hand and VERY rudely did everything in her power, short of actually lying to convince me they were not an isolation hotel.
Early the next morning it was confirmed by another staff member that they allow anybody who has to stay in isolation to stay there, they use the back stairs in and out of the building (the stairs that go directly past the pool!) and that all precautions are being taken. The same stairs that ANYBODY can use! Are the handrails wiped after every use? Of course not!
This hotel is potentially putting people's lives in danger and is not allowing guests to make an informed decision on consent by not telling potential guests. less

As mentioned to you previously, we are not a designated Covid isolation hotel, we do not allow Covid patients to isolate here and agents are trained to ask screening questions to all guests upon check-in. We follow all government, corporate and local regulations carefully with updated allowances and do our best to ensure that we continue to provide contactless check-in/check-out as well as free breakfast deliveries or arrange meal deliveries upon request as a voluntary precautionary measure. Public health have been doing their part in ensuring that individuals required to quarantine are isolated in designated facilities and truthfully we were never part of that program. We do allow guests from out of province stay that are exempt from the program (which you should expect that all hotels are doing), however they too must follow all protocols regulated by Public Health as specified at the border and not be Covid positive. Our operational plan allows for added safety measures for our team members and future guests as we take precautions with every guest and staff member as anyone could carry the virus, not just out of province guests. We understand that tensions are high during these times, however I would like to assure you that we have been, are and will be doing everything we possibly can to heighten cleanliness and safety for our guests and operate as safely as possible to adopt to current situations. So far we have been successful in not having any guests or staff identified as having COVID and we hope that we can keep up the great work that we have achieved during these difficult times.
