My 60.th birthday, she got 50 years and our 25th. Wedding day.
So I planned a nice long stay in Rotterdam.
We used my BW points for this stay.
So, before I leave official feedbacks at available internet websites I want to try to get your reply and maybe a solution.
On the first view it looks like a cheap stay, of course we don’t pay, but before I stayed a lot of time at the BW Hotels….
So please find a summary of this nightmare stay:
At first Room 224, the fridge is not working, Bed is very soft, like weak, impossible to use. Pillows are very uncomfortable. Both are far away from my known BW standard
In the evening change room to the neighbor room, 225
Fridge is working, Aircondition make all 30 seconds very very noisy, abnormal sound an not so cold as room 224. WIFI very low to stopped wifi
On the next morning I told this matter to the reception and requested that the staff should not turn off the Aircon by removing the card in the power box.
Answer to us, that all staff was adviced, to leave the aircondition running, ( for information, temperature on both day near to 40°)
When we come back at 2 p.m. the card was removed, the temperature very hot in the room. During our visit in the city someone try to repair the aircondition. The outlet was direct below the working desk. On this desk was my company notebook, and some documents and other sensitive goods, 2x Ipads and so on.
Beside the desk the suitcase of my wife, open.
So everything the working desk, the suitcase, the clothes, notebook and documents, the water glasses was full of small stones and particles, which are coming out of the Air-let out from the upper aircondition.
Normally the worker should remove the parts below when he repair, but working not repairing and leaving the dust and small stones are not acceptable. Also the floor was in a wide range dusty with this stones….
Walking back to the reception and a then the standard sentences “We are sorry”
In the evening suddenly the power dropped of. No light, no TV nothing.
Woman come from the reception, check the room, and claim, this are my fault, you are using to much energy ( it was 2 Iphone charger an 1 charge for my Apple watch, total 15Watt.
She don’t believe me, we took all our small charger out, and 2 Minutes later the same. This went some times, later I went back to the reception and then I heard I am not alone, also in room 224 the guests have the same problem. By the way, I am an electrical engineer with a master ….
In the meantime I everytime went out to the fusebox on the floor and re-animate the fuse.
Later I went to the restaurant to take a dinner.
I order on the bar and explain very deeply, that I am allergic against Lactose, So please do my Burger without cheese.
Waiting 30 minutes Burger is coming with a lot of cheese..
Believe me, I was angry, more like angry.
WHY is it not possible, to be present for the guests, listen to the guest and present him a nice stay. Here we get a dirty, old rooms, which are from the 70 thies, the Ceiling was getting water and ist complete damage, the shower is molded with fungus, short, this is not a 4 Star Bestwestern this is a old dirty hotels, which get to much bus tourists.
When this tourist are finished with the breakfast then for the normally guest is not so much available.
On last day I asked for 2 fried eggs, Answer was short and precise: NO!!! Realy.
When you are interest a a real Best Western Premium Hotel then I suggest the Best Western Plus Hotel Haarhuis in Arnhem, this is clean, modern, helpful and we got a wonderful breakfast.
Finally we feel us really cheated. You take the points from us and we got a nightmare less
