The rooms here are fine. We stayed in a Queen suite. The room was spacious with 2 bathrooms. The furnishings were a bit dated, but it was ok. The staff were all great, except for a very rude front desk attendant, Alexis. I called down to see if I could get a late check out ( 1:00pm instead of 12pm), and she very rudely told me "No, no, we are not doing any late checkouts." Even though the hotel was not booked full, I was fine with that since I originally assumed check out was at 11am anyway. After leaving my room I went down to the lobby, Alexis almost ran into me as we crossed paths. We could have very easily bumped into each other and she never said excuse me, nor did she apologize. I walked to the front desk, and I stood at the front desk without ever being acknowledged as Alexis helped another guest in the business center. The front desk is in viewing range of the business center. I stood at the desk patiently waiting, waiting, waiting.....another guest (a third guest) came in and stood behind me, and surprise, immediately (calling out from the business center) Alexis acknowledges that guest and asks her if she needs anything. Alexis helps that guest and I continue to stand until another desk person (maybe the morning manager) comes around to help me. Alexis is incredibly rude, and not cut out for the hospitality business since she is not hospitable. I had such pleasant experiences with the rest of the staff, everyone else was extremely polite and helpful, full of pleasant conversation. But this Alexis has a horrible nasty attitude! Having worked in the hospitality industry myself once upon a time, I know how it goes. Perhaps Alexis would be better suited in a "Work at Home" position where she doesn't have to deal with the public. Alexis is socially inept. less
