To start with the folks at the front desk are all really wonderful. All very helpful! This is a older style motel in an area that sees people come and go every couple of days, so I doubt there are ever any down times to do much upkeep.
In the hotel description, they say they are pretty pleased with how they have updated the rooms, but we found them pretty old school. Not sure what the cleaners use either as every wood surface and doors are sticky to the touch, but not dirty. There is a laundry room by the elevator with 2 washers and 2 dryers.
We had a family suite so 2 rooms and a queen bed out front and bunk beds in the rear. Poor layout in the rear, you cant relax and watch tv while on the couch, only if you jump in a bunk bed. Not that we spent much time watching tv anyway. But great when you have kids with you that you can have a little adult privacy separated by a door.
There is a microwave, kettle, coffee maker and hair dryer, plenty of towels and such.
The pool is open with reasonable hours and we were able to spend an hour or so every afternoon out there it was great as was the hot tub.
They include a decent breakfast which is so helpful to get that start before heading to Disneyland. We purchased ART tickets so we were able to travel by bus to Disneyland every day. It would have been a 20 minute walk, which we saved by riding instead and walking for hours at the park instead. The ART comes by every 20 minutes or so, you take either BUS 1 or 2.
All in all, a good hotel for the cost and a great location being a bit off the Disneyland area.
There are some food options near by, we had dinner and lunch at the Double Tree across the road, Roscos down the street, IHOP Chinese etc. less
