This is the second time in 2 years my company has booked a stay for me here. Both times my room smelled like an old bar—you know the smell of years of smoking in the walls and carpet. My room also had broken lights (including the bathroom light which is something housekeeping should notice if they are cleaning). It definitely needs some work.
Check in was with a friendly man who mumbled so I couldn’t always understand him but he seemed nice.
Other than the smell and the lights the room was ok. The smell was most noticeable in the bathroom. The room was quiet. The bed comfortable. WiFi worked ok.
On day 1 of my stay there was nobody manning the omelette area at breakfast which was unfortunate because I have a very physically active job so I tend to stick with protein-based breakfast and all the other options were carb-based. The tip jar was full so it seemed there was someone working there at some point but by 830 they were gone. Nobody was manning the front desk either. It’s was really odd. On day 2 the front desk clerk was also working at the breakfast area. Perhaps they are short staffed.
They do not make oatmeal, they only offer instant packets. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was very good, but the biscuits were hit or miss—some soft & fluffy & some hard as rocks and impossible to cut through.

Our hotel is entirely 100% Non-smoking property with $250 smoking fine if we find any trace of smoking/vaping in room.
