Well... the room was clean. And, the location was convenient. The problem is that there are SO many hidden fees. I booked online and then called the front desk to ask about their pet policy. I was coming into town for a dog event. The girl said one time $30 pet fee. I asked if there was a limit on pets. She said no... that they allow dogs only though. We drive 11 hours... show up at 1am for them to tell me its $30 pet fee per night... and only 2 dogs are allowed... and there's a $50 deposit they charge to my card and it'll be returned a week later. So what initially started out as $230 was now $349. When I told her that is not what I was told... she did nothing to rectify the situation. And, since I traveled there with 4 dogs... we rotated dogs in and out of the room/vehicle every couple hours as to not break their policy. What happened to the customer is always right or honoring what you've already agreed to?
Next... when we arrived at 1am... the parking lot was FULL of people standing around their cars. We walked dogs past all these vehicles with men just sitting in their cars. I couldn't tell her they were drug dealers, or pimps selling call girls out of the hotel... and I'm not kidding. There were probably 8 cars with people just sitting in the dark out there. For 1am.... that is a lot of people to be sitting there with no room. Its intimidating and if i worked there, I'd insist on security to clear all those people out of the parking lot. It was literally like that every evening starting around 930 or 10. At one point, I was walking my dog and some people were digging thru the trash next to the back door looking for cigarette butts to smoke. And, again... people sitting in their cars in the back parking lot. So what are they doing? Mostly men... creepy. Intimidating. Not welcoming. less
