We have stayed at this hotel several times and it is still one of our favorite choices for the area. It is still a very good choice for a very clean, comfortable, convenient location for folks visiting the Morristown area. On the plus side, the hotel is very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and most of the staff are polite, professional, and friendly.
Some minor concerns- half the rooms have a door that is able to connect to an adjoining room. This would be convenient if you had a large family and needed two hotel rooms. For my wife and I who only needed one room, this was a negative for us because our hotel neighbors were very noisy and the laughter and loud talking seeped through the adjoining door, which was annoying when we were trying to relax and go to bed. We had to call the main desk two nights in a row to ask them to request that the neighbors quiet down, which they did. If there were a way for the hotel to create better sound blocking insulation of the doors to the adjoining rooms, that would be helpful.
The other issue to be aware of because of the COVID pandemic, which hopefully will be a non-issue in the months to come, is that the dining room for breakfast is closed because of COVID. This is very unfortunate (though understandable) because the very nice breakfast was a very nice perk of staying at this hotel. The variety of eggs, waffles, toasts, cereal, fruit, etc. was enjoyable when offered in the breakfast room. The meager food they put out in the lobby during this stay, is just not the same as the nice breakfast.
Though the bathroom is relatively small, it is very clean and adequate with a very nice bathtub with shower, with nice hot water and a good quality shower head. One change they made, which I did not like is that they put a little dispenser on the wall in the shower for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. (We had no conditioner in our dispenser.) You have to pump each dispenser many times to get enough soap or shampoo to do a decent job, and they installed the dispenser in an inconvenient place, right where the stream of water is coming down from the shower head, which makes it hard to read which dispenser is which while the water is hitting you in the face/head. The dispenser could have been put anywhere else on that wall, instead of right near the shower head. I say bring back the bottles of shampoo, and leave out an extra bar of soap, and forget about the dispensers.
Despite these concerns, this hotel is still a very good choice. It will be even better, when the breakfast room is open again and up and running for their very nice, variety of cold and hot foods for breakfast. less

Thank you for staying with us and for your continued patronage. We appreciate you noting our excellent housekeeping and professional staff. Yes, due to covid our breakfast offerings have been reduced due to state and local regulations. I am glad you enjoyed our assorted egg sandwiches, our house made hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, assorted muffins and juices and of course our coffee and assorted teas which of course are available 24/7.
Though I also prefer the smaller bottles of shampoo and actual bars of soaps we made this change to become more green. We do have the other items still available so please feel free to ask for them when you come in. Since making the change though I must say we have had a huge number of positive compliments about the change - simply due to becoming even more green than we already were. You will see this change throughout the hotel industry in the next couple of years. We have a guest who comes in from CA every 3 months and stays with us for 10 days and prefers to use her own skin and shampoo products. The products she prefers don't come in travel sizes so she buys them locally and leaves them with us. We put them in her room when she is due to come in. We're as flexible as we can be with our guests which I'm sure is one reason why have stayed with us throughout the years so for everyone reading this please feel free to ask us for anything you should need during your stay. Even if there is something ahead of your arrival simply let us know and we'll do our best to make it happen for you.
Thank you again for your continued patronage.
