I chose this hotel because of its proximity to my aged mother's home and the hospital and medical corridor. I also liked that it had an outdoor pool. Although it looked inviting, the water was too cold in February to swim. I saw no one use the pool.
Initially the hotel seemed ideal with a large comfortable bed, desk, armchair, flat screen TV and kitchenette. The lighting in the room was very bright which was okay unless you wanted a subdued, relaxing light in the evening, there was none. The area seemed very safe for a woman traveling alone with a large, lighted parking lot. The breakfast was fine with plenty of choices from cold cereal or hot oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit to waffles, eggs and meat.
My problems with the hotel began with the refrigerator being turned all the way up so that the items I put in it were frozen in the morning. I also found the tub to be very slippery with no bath mat. Take care getting in and out of the shower. Although the room looked superficially clean, I was shocked by what I found just under the skirt of the bed! My frustration culminated with the housekeeping staff who would not change the sheets on my bed. I was told that sheets would be changed every three days but though I made requests and eventually complained to the manager my bed was never changed in eight nights that I spent there. less
