I booked this hotel as a great location to stay to attend my grandson's graduation from BMT at Lackland Air Force Base. If you need a disability access room, BEWARE. I called directly and was assured I had an access room. When I arrived I was told no, I didn't. I was put into a regular room with a regular (badly configured) shower with only one grab bar that was in the very front beside the water control. There was no shower curtain, just a wall of glass on the front half of the shower. I was finally brought a portable shower stool. Every time I took a shower, literally half the bathroom floor flooded. Their solution was to bring me two extra bath mats. Getting into and out of the shower was difficult with no grab bars within my reach.
I use a mobility scooter rather than a wheelchair and had no problem getting my scooter in and out of the room. I'm not sure that someone with a regular wheelchair could maneuver in a regular room. A zero-turn electric wheelchair shouldn't be a problem.
The bed was way too soft for my arthritic back, so I slept sitting up in their somewhat comfy side chair with ottoman.
For a hotel breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised with theirs. And on the days when graduation events started early, they served breakfast really early. They also provided great information on graduation events and getting to/from the base.
Housekeeping was spotty. We had to ask for soap. We asked for the bed to be made, but it wasn't. And if we didn't ask for it to be made, it was.
Other than my problems at check-in, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. If hadn't needed a disability access room, I would have given this facility a better rating. less
