The good- great location. The hotel is located right next to everything you want to see. We had a room with a jacuzzi and it was wonderful. The restaurant had a great lunch and a great breakfast (oh it was good), we dined in the restaurant for both of those meals. For the most part the staff was very polite, the housekeepers greeting you as you passed them in the hall, and Kayla did a very nice job preparing our room.
The bad- Paul. Paul was working the counter when I arrived. Paul I would describe as well he looks like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, you know unkept and sloppy. It was prior to the checkin time and my room was not available yet so I decided to take in the sights. Paul handed me a list of places and I was able to find a map in one of the brochures I found, I spent a few minutes trying to orient myself before I inquired from Paul which way I needed to head. I talked to Paul and confirmed twice which way I needed to go complete with pointing directions out the window, well needless to say I was not happy with Paul when I was headed in the opposite direction than I needed to.
The only other thing that went wrong during my stay, and I did not complain nor give them the opportunity to correct it, was my dinner. After a day of trying to sight see, getting lost, then actually sight seeing (thank you again Paul) we came back to the room and decided to order in. Side items with burgers were chips and pickles or carrots. Well I chose the chips and pickles, the chips were chips but there was no pickle to be found, and my better half requested the carrots. I am guessing not too many people request the carrots while vacationing as a side to a burger because the carrots were brown. Don't get me wrong these were not cooked and took a hue of the meat these were raw baby carrots that were brown from age. Shame on them for that, you run out of something (pickles) oh well but don't put something rotted on the plate. less

Dear Patrick M,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property, and for your thoughtful feedback.
I am very sorry to hear that your interaction with Paul was not positive. Paul, by far, is our most often recognized staff member for the service and care that he provides our guests. He often goes above and beyond, and places our guests' needs as his first priority. Our guests go out of their way to recognize him and his positive contributions to our property.
I apologize for the miscommunication regarding the directions, and we will discuss the issue immediately. We offer a wealth of information, from a touch board that will text directions and addresses to your phone, to paper maps (both walking and driving). Our staff obviously is tasked with aiding our guests, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
I will also discuss the issues that you encountered in our restaurant. In both situations, the pickle and the carrots, the outcome is unacceptable. We will correct this immediately.
Thank you again for your feedback.
