Decent hotel but will not choose to stay here again

The exterior and interior areas of the hotel was nice and the room itself was decent enough for a stay. The bathroom was clean but a but the shower head didn't work very well and needs to be replaced. We stayed for two nights. The staff checking us in were very nice and it was a very quick process. It has great Wi-Fi that is free and was a nice bonus. The breakfast was VERY BASIC which would be ok, but it was not fresh at all. The only thing you could call fresh was maybe the eggs but the breads were hard and stale (on both days) the fruit was frozen fruit that tasted like it was frozen (both days) and the choices were extremely limited. There was instant oatmeal and yogart to choose from saved the breakfast. On both mornings I heard complaints from other guests. Also, the housecleaning staff was very slow. We left at 8am and came back at 10:30. The room wasn't ready but we could maybe understand so we left again and came back at 11:30...still not done. Left and came back again and it was finally cleaned at 12:30. When we left at 8, there were 2 housecleaning staff and carts on our side of the hallway and every time we left and came back it was the same 2 staff in the hallway each time. When we did get back in our room, the beds were half made and the only thing that looked like it had been touched was the bathroom. We had purposefully put all our belongings together in a corner to make the cleaning easier and it still was a mess. We will have to go back to the Lexington area a few times a year and will not choose this hotel for the next stay. less

Thank you for staying with us and letting us know about your recent stay. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your time with us. We strive to offer something for everyone on our breakfast. We do not serve any frozen fruit we order from a supplier and get fresh fruit deliveries 3 times a week. All hot items are made fresh daily. I will speak with the staff to ensure they are storing the breads correctly. We rarely hear negative feedback about our breakfast, most of our guests tell us we have the best breakfast they have seen in a hotel as you can see from our reviews. We have 99 rooms and clean check-outs first to ensure they are ready for incoming guests per Best Western Policy. Our housekeeping staff works from 8:30-3:00 each day. If you need your room cleaned by a certain time we are happy to accommodate. I again thank you for your review and we will strive to make every improvement possible.
