This charming hotel may be lost on some due to the Best Western part of the name. In our experience, BW has added some of the most charming European hotels to their brand. This one is no exception.
Pictures of the original property, before it became a hotel, are on display in a glass case in the lobby. The rooms are large and super comfortable. There is a very small fridge filled with cold drinks for purchase. Along with the pant presser there is an iron. The bathroom is small but the toilet is separate from the shower making it easier to get ready faster and out exploring this charming city. Since we visited during an extreme heat wave, we were happy to find the A/C worked exceptionally well!
The location is great for exploring the town and easy to get to. There is secure garage parking for an additional small fee but well worth it. (Be sure to reserve a spot in advance as there are only 8.)
The staff was super friendly and helpful in recommending a restaurant and securing a reservation. The breakfast buffet provided a good selection. Hard-boiled or soft boil your own eggs, toasts, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals, yogurts and juices Be sure to try Le Bourbonnoux for dinner! Fabulous meal (see restaurant review). less
