I understand this place is popular with patients visiting Johns Hopkins, and I can see why: It’s relatively inexpensive, and in the morning, it’s a 17-minute drive to the hospital. (Return trip in late afternoon takes longer.) The hotel is clean and comfortable, but upscale it’s not. Some updating would be a good idea. The breakfast buffet is pretty mediocre — but it’s free. There’s nothing else within walking distance, though it’s not a locale you’d want to walk in anyway. But there are restaurants and stores not far away on Boston Street, and there are places to eat in the hotel. I can’t give an educated review of the hotel eateries except to say I got a carryout cup of beef noodle soup and it was barely edible: tasted strongly of a beef bouillon cube, and the noodles had been cooked to mush. Pool (indoors) seemed good; fitness center very small and sparse, but if all you want is to get on a treadmill, it will fit the bill. less
