Excellent service and a delightful place to stay. Beautiful location with acres of woodland and an interesting building. It was particularly appealing because we were able to enjoy afternoon tea with a first class performance of Trial by Jury. less

Once again my family has had a delicious meal at Gilbert’s Restaurant, this time to celebrate Father’s Day. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as usual, we’ve never been disappointed when eating here. My thanks and compliments to the chef and all in the kitchen! The very pleasant staff made us welcome from the time we arrived, until the end of the lunch. They even set up a large table for us outside in the garden, to enjoy the rest of the day. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we all agree The Grim’s Dyke came up trumps! Gilbert’s restaurant remains our favourite place to eat, we are so lucky to have it close by. Only the Covid restrictions kept us away for a while. I’d happily recommend it without hesitation and look forward to our next visit. Thank you all very much! less

Fabulous family dinner for Father’s Day and a big anniversary at Gilbert‘s restaurant. 8 of us in a big spacious table with a highchair. Amazing three courses including child friendly options. Taste amazing and the service was 100%! Thank you Debbie & Cheri taking care of us. And chefs Ash, Darren & William - we had a packed restaurant and still everything came out in time in perfect order! We’ll be back. less

An absolutely stunning venue and excellent customer service. Debbie in the Restaurant was very welcoming and pleasant. We arrived early for our wedding and she was more than happy to serve us breakfast and coffee whilst also serving the party from the day before. less
