We booked this hotel because it looks quite central and it was true. The first full day we went to things that are far from the hotel but on the day we needed to leave we went to Tainmen Mountain which is just 5 min from the hotel so very convenient. We took the suitcases with us as the Tainmen Mountain cable car station has storage and from there we went to the Train Station.
Before arrival I was having problems buying the tickets for the Glass Bridge and Tianmen Mountain in advance because I needed a Chinese bank card. The only options I had was to pay full day tours which were expensive and I don't like, so I contacted the hotel for help and Michelle was just great, she bought the tickets for us and charged us on arrival... It was very helpful
In regards to the hotel: The lobby looks a bit chubby, it is full of plastic plants and is not very welcoming; however, when you go to the room it is a different story. The room was big, modern, beds were soft and bathroom really nice.
Breakfast was very bad, the worst we had in China, it was mainly Chinese which is fine but everything was cold, we didn't enjoyed it. hence 1 point less.
Apart from that a nice hotel and very convenient
Be aware that Zhangjiajie is not very touristic so you feel you are in the real China. They have plenty of Chinese tourist but western haven't arrived in mass yet, this make it a bit more challenging with the communication but a lovely place to go less
