I have stayed at this location multiple times and usually it’s great. The weather was bad the evening I arrived so they were pretty full. I reserved a King room - I thought with a sofa - and noted that I would be arriving in the evening. I requested a ground floor handicap accessible room. When I arrived I was told there weren’t any ground floor rooms available and there weren’t any handicap accessible rooms either. I was assigned a room but when I went in, it was already occupied. The second room I was given didn’t have a sofa. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and there was a smoke detector or something on the wall that would make a strange noise from time to time. As always, the location is great for me & my granddaughter enjoyed the pool while she visited. less

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry you had a less than fantastic experience the last time you were here. I do not know how you were checked into a room that was already occupied. We have several steps in place to ensure something like that doesn't happen.
Smoke detectors do sometimes need the back up batteries changed out, even thought the detectors are hard wired into the fire alarm system as well. The only thing I can think of is perhaps we got a bad battery? I have our team replace all the batteries every other year so this doesn't occur also. We just changed them all out back in December, so I am not sure why this one was chirping. It's possible we missed that one when they replaced the rest.
Unfortunately room placement is based on availability. If folks stay longer, then we have no way of knowing what rooms will be available until the day of arrival. Also, none of our King rooms have sofa's in them, only the King suites. I apologize for the confusion, but hopefully this clarify's a few things.
