Nice renovations but not worth the cost

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. It has been recently renovated and looks lovely. We had a double-queen with a pool view on the first floor away from traffic noise. The beds were comfortable and the room clean except for the carpet. Our socks were proof of the dirt as well as the color of the water in the shower as we stood. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty but standard hotel fare. Coffee is brewed from concentrate -- not grounds. Very good waffles. Very friendly staff. Would probably return. We felt the cost was a little high but considering the area it is probably typical. $179 Monday, $195 Tuesday. less

Thank you K H for your review. We have just completed a multi million dollar renovation. Our carpets are all new, but I will check the room you stayed in. Our windows and sliders do open so the carpet can get dusty. Yes, our area is very pricey due to the location between San Fran and Silicon Valley. The supply and demand thing plays heavy here. As a rep for the Fremont area, we do hope you return to our community. As you can see here on this review site, we do have many wonderful hotels in the area.
