When I booked 3 days ago, I was unable to to finish my special request as it went straight to booked, called the hotel within minutes to tell them we had a dog and what would we be charged, was told over the phone my a guy that afternoon ( Thursday Sept. 12th we could not have a dog in the room we booked so we could only have a dog friendly room the price for the room would be $176.xx plus a $20 dog fee, asked him to email me a confirmation which he took my email then said oh u booked through Expedia I cant do that only Expedia can, but confirmed my price for the hotel for 3 adults and 1 dog was $176.xx plus $20. Called Expedia right away and had them confirm with the hotel which they did yes u will be charged that price. I then asked them to send me a updated information on the new price they just sent me the same email I recieved at time of booking and said dont worry the hotel has your special request and you will be charged that amount. When we checked out the bill was for the orginal amount $254.xx we said why are charged the full amount?! They said we cant do anything about it, it has to be done through Expedia but I confirmed this 3 days with the hotel the other price! So basically you are making more money off of us for charging us the full room price but we stayed in a dog friendly room which was cheaper unbelieveable. Also when we checked in we were told we would be super close to the hot tub, the hot tub was on the other side of the hotel!! And when I checked my credit card today they ran my credit card without my authorization, as they where given my friends credit card to put the full amount on, so what they took her card and pretended to use her card when really they just charged my card instead?!!! Unbelievable very unhappy with the broken promises 3 promises and all 3 were broken. Expedia says you need proof of this, well guess what I tried to get proof from the hotel and Expedia hotel wouldn't do it and Expedia just sent me the email I had already. Overall not very happy. less
